The brief
The outfit was festive; the background wasn’t — a plain white interior door. The goal was a one-off holiday card that looks like it came from a proper set.
The craft
The subject was cut out with care around the hair and the soft edges of the hat, then placed in front of a tree full of red ornaments and warm bokeh. Color and light were matched so the scene reads as one photograph rather than two.
The result
A personal card with studio polish, made from a photo taken at home.
